Red Sox 2007 mid-season report

A look at the Bosox at the actual midway point of the 2007 season

Here at Curt's Bloody Sock, we asked our self, errr selves, why wait till the mythical halfway mark of a baseball season, the All Star Game, when the real midway point comes today, after game #81?

To which I responded, good question, self!

Just because there's plenty of extra time with the teams all taking a three day hiatus, I suppose.

But here at the offices of C.B.S. we strive to be the bastions of integrity, so if today marks the actual midway point of the 2007 season, then dammit we are going to do our mid season report card right now, not next Monday when there's nothing going on except the bastardized Home Run Derby and perhaps it's a little bit more convenient to us.

Besides, I didn't want to do the June wrap up, the Texas series recap and then this thing all in the next week. Plus it'll leave me time for some fun posts over the break, like mercilessly ridiculing the Stankees and their classless hag spouses.

Enjoy/feel free to comment.

Upon further review after plowing through this massive post, I now realize why everyone does this during the break--I just spent a few hours composing this and in a couple of days it'll be buried under previews, reviews and results of the D-Rays & Tigers series.

I guess I'll just link to it on Monday.
