I want to start out by saying Happy Mother's Day to my Mom, wife, stepdaughter, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunts and all the other moms of RSN- because of all you lovely women, we all were officially "Born into It", and for that us male members of the Nation owe you a huge 'thank you'.

As for the game, Josh Beckett will attempt to secure his place in Sox history today; if he earns the win, it will tie him for the club record for wins to start the season with eight, joining such lofty company as the Babe and the immortal Rogelio Moret.

Unfortunately, like yesterday, I will not be able to catch this one, either, as the family is headed out to see "Spiderman III" as a Mom's Day present from to my son to his mom (figure that one out!)
